Hi Anna,
For the very first time I went to Holy Trinity Brompton on Sunday evening having always wanted to go attend a service there. It was fantastic and afterwards whilst wondering around the bookshop I picked up a copy of your book 'Becoming You'. It was just what I needed the timing was perfect. I started reading it yesterday and am finding it so interesting and deeply thought provoking. I am only through the first three chapters and it is really hitting all my buttons! I am recovering from a nervous breakdown I had in September last year so my sense of self has been pretty well non existent. Your book is an answer to prayer for me. Thankyou. Marie x

God wants us to be part of His purposes. I can testify to the fact that He does have a good plan – He is working it out every day of my life. He is healing me. He is providing for me. I am getting married soon. I give Him all the praise and glory for making a way where, in the natural, there is absolutely NO WAY!

Every time I come on this website, I hope to find some stories in this section, and still there are none. Then I realised that maybe no-one wanted to go first! So I've bitten the bullet and here's my 'Anna' story.

I had battled for years in a few distinct areas of my life: Clothing (or lack of - not knowing what suited me, what style I wanted, hating - yes hating! - shopping); Vocation (as a mother, I'd gone back to work part-time, but was unhappy with my 'perfect & flexible' work/life balance); Status (I felt I'd never reached my potential, and compared myself to others regularly).
I then heard Anna on premier christian radio (www.premier.org.uk) saying something about how we can forget what our dreams are. I had forgotten. I bought Anna's book (Becoming You) and worked my way through it. We ended up corresponding and before I knew it, I was asking Anna to pray for me. Next thing I knew, I was on an incredible journey of discovery.

With Anna's guidance, prayers and mentorship through Christ, I started clearing the blocks between me and God's voice. Sensing that God was telling me to leave my job, I took a massive leap of faith, and resigned - even though it made no 'sense' at all.
Since then, my issues with status have disappeared, God has blessed me abundantly and been clearly leading me.
Also, through Anna's help and guidance, I learnt about my inate style and began to enjoy finding clothes that actually suit me!
I am enjoying this wonderful journey of discovery and I have Anna to thank for beginning this process and being there whenever I feel God pushing me to contact her for more insights!
